1978


The construction of the distribution lines started in the year 1978 for the seven municipalities namely: Maramag, Quezon, Don Carlos, Kitaotao, Dangcagan, Valencia and Kibawe managed by Engr. Edgardo R. Piamonte from NEA as Acting General Manager.

November 29, 1978


The first energization of the five municipalities namely: Maramag, Quezon, Don Carlos, Kitaotao and Dangcagan were realized and followed by the energization of Valencia and Kibawe.

1979


Engr. Edgardo R. Piamonte was recalled back to NEA and Engr. Moises B. Borja took over as new AGM ad continued the electrification program in the municipalities of Pangantucan, Kalilangan, Wao, Damulog, Kadingilan and San Fernando.

1982


Engr. Moises B. Borja was then recalled to NEA and Atty. Conchito J. Oclarit took over as AGM but then recalled to NEA on August 1986. However, Engr. Piamonte was then assigned back to continue the program on electrification within the coverage area with Mr. Charito Mabitazan as his Financial Assistant. After his mission, Engr. Piamonte turned over the yoke of responsibility to his financial assistant, as AGM.

1978


Atty. Lino Vermudo succeeded Mr. Mabitazan who was then assigned at CAMELCO as Acting General Manager. It was during his term that FIBECO headquarters and Quezon Sub-office were constructed.

October 1993


Atty. Vermudo was again recalled to NEA and an advertisement for a local General Manager took place. Romeo Alforque, passed the selection process and installed as General Manager on probationary status.

March 31, 1994


Mrs. Milagrosa Baldovino, was installed as General Manager in lieu of Alforque. It was this time that Valencia Sub-office was constructed and completed. It was also this time that the categorization leap up from D to A category.

1995


Don Carlos Sub-office was constructed and completed. It was also this year that FIBECO received a Presidential Award for its distinguished success and steadfast commitment in effecting a dramatic leap in its overall operational efficiency, despite various constraints, through the implementation of financial, institutional and technical reforms to deliver better service to its member-consumers.

1996



FIBECO’s categorization from A elevated to A+ which subsequently gave favorable effect to the employees with the implementation of salary increase. It was also during this year that the pathway, function hall and staff house were constructed and completed. Likewise the installation of 5MVA sub-station in Anahawon, Maramag, Bukidnon was also during this year.

October 2000


GM Baldovino tendered her optional retirement and recommended Engr. Jose S. Dela Cruz to be the next General Manager. Major accomplishments on his term were noted like the installation of the 10MVA substation in Palma, Kibawe; 10 MVA substation in Dabongdabong, Valencia, interconnection of Kadingilan and Wao lines; construction of board hall; construction of Kalilangan Sub-office, completion of the Kitaotao Collection Center and partial renovation of the Quezon Sub-office.

April 2007


Engr, Daniel A. Tangara was appointed by the Board as Officer-in-Charge because of the downgrading of FIBECO’s category from A+ to B due to high System Loss. During his term, FIBECO reduced its system loss from 15.75% to 11.98% in 2007 and received various awards like the Best Region for Renewable Power Source.

2008


Engr. Renato S. Cortezano was appointed by the Board as Officer-in-Charge in lieu of Engr. Tangara for health reasons. It was during his term that FIBECO regained the Category A+.

November 28, 2010


Engr. Renato S. Cortezano was installed as full-pledged General Manager
